CiCLO® technology is an additive blended with polyester and nylon during fiber production, creating biodegradable spots that allow microbes to break down the materials like natural fibers.  Resulting in a durable polyester that do not form microplastics during use and do not remain in the environment. 

Our materials offer familiar processing and ease of use, making them highly versatile. They are compatible with various printing methods, including sublimation inks, transfer printing, and screen printing.

Third-party laboratory studies have confirmed the effectiveness of CiCLO® fibers, yarns, and textiles in promoting biodegradation over several years.

Tests using ASTM-recognized respirometry methods show that CiCLO® textiles and microfibers biodegrade in environments like wastewater sludge, seawater, soil, and landfills, while untreated textiles remain resistant to breakdown.
