A Structured, Data-Driven, Managed Approach.
We measure our carbon footprint across our entire operation. This data drives our carbon management strategy, including initiatives like installing solar panels on our warehouse roof and selecting environmentally conscious logistics partners.
Along the Value-Chain.
By carefully researching our suppliers and the credentials of the products we offer, we can make informed recommendations that help our clients achieve their environmental goals. This also supports our collaboration with manufacturers to develop products that meet client procurement criteria while minimising environmental impact.
For instance, by recommending a knitted polyester fabric for display backing instead of the traditional 3mm foam panel, weight is reduced by 83%. This not only benefits packaging and transportation but, more importantly, the fabric is recyclable at the end of its life and free from toxins or dioxins due to its single-material composition.
Recycling is only effective if the recycled material is put to use. However, products made from recycled materials won’t be adopted if they don’t meet quality standards. Our Bretta range is a great example of our collaborative efforts. Made with post-consumer clear plastic waste, it rivals 100% virgin polymer alternatives in both appearance and quality.
Greenwash.
At DPM, we are dedicated to making responsible choices, as demonstrated by the examples above. We don’t contribute to controversial nature-based offsetting programs or pay for certifications.
Instead, we focus on reducing our own operational impact and helping our clients and suppliers achieve shared sustainability goals. Guided by a Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, we strive to operate with transparency and integrity.
